TEP has generously provided a $1,000 grant to support the work of the Southern Arizona Volunteer Management Association as SAVMA’s 2017 Underwriting Sponsor. TEP has been a long standing supporter of SAVMA and of volunteerism throughout their service area. Funds from the grant will be used to support the professional development needs of the SAVMA membership.

TEP’s dedication to service goes beyond providing safe, reliable power. The company’s vision statement is to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve. This philosophy is woven into the employee culture at all levels of the organization, from senior management to field employees, power plant operators, customer service representatives and all others within the organization.

From serving on local boards of directors to volunteering with their community partners, TEP employees play a direct role in strengthening the places where they live and play. They strive to do more for their customers, neighbors, friends and families through direct contributions, in-kind services and volunteer support for local nonprofit organizations.

In 2016, TEP and sister company, UniSource Energy Services (UES) contributed approximately $1.8 million to charitable causes. It’s important to note that these community investments are funded from corporate resources, not customers’ rates. Their employees also joined their friends and family to contribute 25,000 volunteer hours to hundreds of nonprofit groups.

Thank you TEP.
