Interfaith Community Services (ICS) is a 30-year-old non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides services for seniors, adults with disabilities, and individuals facing financial crises in the greater Tucson community. A culture shift for fundraising From Haas Jr. Three years ago, the Haas, Jr. Fund joined with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services to produce a study, UnderDeveloped, documenting the chronic fundraising challenges facing today’s nonprofits. US volunteer time worth $188 billion From The NonProfit Times The value of volunteers' time hit a record high in 2015, an estimated $23.56 per hour nationwide. The sum represents more than a $1 increase compared to the figure in 2013. The American Red Cross of Southern Arizona is calling for volunteers to assist us in installing free smoke alarms in the Flowing Wells, Homer Davis Neighborhood on Saturday, April 16th, 2016. We are reaching out to you to see if you are interested in organizing a team of volunteers to come out and help this community. There will be fun incentives for the team with the most volunteers! This neighborhood has been identified by our national preparedness division as at high risk for home fire related injuries and fatalities. Nationally, seven times a day, someone dies in a home fire. Every 40 minutes, an injury from a fire is reported. Nearly 1,000 times every day, fire departments are called to home fires.
