Community Service Recognition: Michael Kloth
In January, SAVMA celebrated volunteerism at the 2020 SAVMA Awards, a volunteer recognition event for all of Southern Arizona. Organizations were invited to nominate individuals for a Community Service Recognition in honor of their exceptional giving and spirit of service. Throughout the month of April, we will be highlighting these individuals and their nomination as part of VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH!
Michael Kloth: Volunteer Photographer
“Michael first began photographing adoptable animals to help with their marketing in 2006 when he lived in Kentucky. Two cross country moves later, he joined Pima Animal Care Center as a volunteer in 2013. The photos and videos he has made helped market thousands of animals to potential adopters and have helped countless more as part of fundraising materials and grant applications. He considers himself very fortunate for the opportunity to have worked with all of the beautiful animals and truly wonderful people.”
Michael says, “I would like to thank the Friends of PACC for the continued work that they do for the animals of Pima County and I am honored for their recognition. I’m grateful for the friendships I’ve made and the dogs I’ve adopted and loved along the way. The animal rescue industry has changed remarkably over those fourteen years and nowhere is that more evident than it has been here at PACC. I am proud to have played a small role in that change and I am excited for what the future will bring. I would like to thank the Friends of PACC for the continued work that they do for the animals of Pima County and I am honored for their recognition.”
