#BlackOutTuesday & #TheShowMustBePaused (June 2, 2020)

The music and performing arts industries asked that BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) voices take center stage online on June 2, 2020.  An additional note of support was provided from organizers to ask that if you are muting yourself, please do not use #BlackLivesMatter as it defeats the purpose.

We have several performing arts organizations that are SAVMA members as well as individual members wishing to understand how to support their volunteers or become better allies. We offer the above guidance from the organizers.
