Linda Koral: President, CASA Support Council of Pima County Inc.

“Linda was elected as a board member on the CASA Support Council for Pima County, Inc. in 2010, after being a CASA in Pima County for 5 years. As a CASA she became aware that foster children are generally behind in their educational progress, primarily lacking fundamental skills in Reading and Math. Many have missed a lot of school, due to factors beyond their control. The initial goal for her participation on the Council was to research, design and implement a 1 on 1 tutoring program for CASA children. Linda became the VP for Education, so she could concentrate on this goal.

After the successful implementation of the tutoring program, Linda wanted to be more involved with the Council’s activities and events that support the CASA of Pima County program, the CASAs and the CASA children. In 2014, Linda became the President and has continued in that role as well as remains active as a CASA Volunteer/Peer Coordinator, where she enjoys coaching new CASAs and continuing her on-going training in various areas of child welfare.”
